Physicians and physician assistants interested in helping shape the future of medical regulation in Ontario will soon have an opportunity to put their names forward for the CPSO Board of Directors.

The Board provides strategic oversight, helps set CPSO's direction, and ensures the organization fulfills its mandate to serve in the public interest. Board Directors bring diverse perspectives and experiences that help inform governance and decision-making.

Applications for the 2027 Board Election will open on October 6, 2026, and close on October 27, 2026. Eligible physicians and physician assistants from across Ontario are encouraged to consider applying.

This year, CPSO’s Governance and Nominating Committee is specifically seeking applications from registrants who:

• have held significant and progressive leadership positions within the health system, and
• have demonstrated governance experience serving on boards of directors.   

Keep an eye on your inbox on October 6 for the official Notice of Election from the Registrar. The email will include details about eligibility, key dates, and how to apply.
